Build a man a fire and he’ll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire and he’ll be warm the rest of his life. – Terry Pratchett
I got started in audio in 2017 when I began recording and editing my friend’s DND sessions into a podcast, complete with sound effects. Once I started getting a taste for sound design I found a PAX west panel all about game audio and how to get into the industry. I then joined an online game audio education Discord group called Blipsounds and made a series of sound design related theory videos. I also started a new DND podcast to edit and do sound effects for, and eventually landed as lead audio designer for the Devolver Digital game by
Galvanic, Wizard With a Gun (including trailers), as well as a supporting design role on Shadows Over Loathing, from Asymmetric.
Since then I have worked on a handful of smaller projects of various shapes and sizes, using many different tools. As a result I am well versed in Unity and FMOD, as well as have working experience with Unreal, Godot, and Wwise.
